The Battic© Door Attic Stair Cover is now available in the 2 most popular folding attic stairway sizes. Both Battic© Door Attic Stair Cover models are 13-1/2" deep to fit both wood and aluminum style folding attic stairways:
Model 22x54 fits folding attic stairways designed for 22" x 54" to 22-1/2" x 54" rough openings.
Model 25x54 fits folding attic stairways designed for 25" x 54" to 25-1/2" x 54" rough openings.
We suggest adding the desired amount of insulation to your Battic© Door Attic Stair Cover to maximize its benefits and to restore the insulation removed from the ceiling.

Otherwise, it is necessary for you to make a quick measurement of your rough opening size and/or your attic stairway door frame size.
HOW DO I DETERMINE MY ROUGH OPENING SIZE?
It will be necessary for you to determine what size Battic© Door you need to order. This simple step takes just a few seconds:
First - you need a tape measure. Open your attic stairway door and walk up far enough to reach the opening.
Simply measure the width and the length of the rough opening of your stairway. The rough opening size is the distance between the headers (length) and the distance between the joists (width) that the attic stairway is installed within. Note that rough opening sizes are approximate. That's it!
Measure the rough opening-the distance between...
the headers and the ceiling joists.
DOUBLE CHECK!
Remember - the Battic© Door Attic Stair Cover will rest on the 3/4" wide perimeter attic stairway door frame (not the structural framing of the house or the floor of the attic!).
